Meet the Team

  • Maria

    EDITOR

Maria does a little of everything. She is your go-to editor for tropey romances, and really revels in the cornerstones of the genre. She adores angsty marriages of convenience, enemies-to-lovers tension, and the delicious mess of surprise pregnancies. Give her only one bed, a second chance, and polyamorous omegaverses, she’s all in. Add in tentacles, fangs, or tails and it's even better. And yes, feel free to turn up the heat – she’s open to making it spicy.

But Maria’s not just about romance; she’s here to tighten your plot, elevate character arcs, and ensure your whole story flows seamlessly. She smooths out your sentences, helps you find the right word, and fixes those pesky plot holes. Her favorite authors include Penny Reid, CM Nascosta, Adriana Herrera, Sierra Simone, and Cat Giraldo. She’s drawn to romances that tug at the heartstrings and is open to any subgenre. Her dream projects are emotionally charged love stories that break your heart and put it back together again with a well-earned HEA. Maria is your guide to breathing life into your characters and crafting the love story we all crave.

  • Monica

    EDITOR

Monica’s lifelong love affair with words began at the tender age of 4. As a kid, she was that rare bookworm who found joy in reading the dictionary, even taking her books to recess. In the third grade, she accused her teacher of plagiarism when tasked with copying definitions from the dictionary, a testament to her unwavering belief in the power of language. Monica’s linguistic passion led her to choose Advanced Grammar as an elective, and she aced the AP English exam in high school.

During the pandemic, Monica rediscovered her love for romance literature. She was drawn to romance for its ability to offer happiness to characters of diverse backgrounds, including queer individuals and those, like herself, dealing with depression. While she adores all things romance, Monica has a special place in her heart for over-the-top romantic comedies (a la Pippa Grant), paranormal romance, and happily-ever-afters featuring neurodiverse characters.
